Maurizio Sarri appears set to return to Serie A. Juventus have reached an agreement with Chelsea to pay the London-based club a small fee as compensation to release Sarri from his contract, Sky Italia reports. Chelsea had wanted six million euros to let Sarri go but the agreement with Juve is believed to be for a smaller fee but includes add-ons which the Italian club must pay if Sarri's team achieve an agreed set of objectives.

Chelsea board meet to discuss Sarri

Juventus Director of Sport Fabio Paratici travelled to London to this week to negotiate Sarri's departure with Chelsea. The 60-year-old coach had already asked Marina Granovskaia to allow him to leave last week and a subsequent meeting between Roman Abramóvich and Juventus officials seems to have done the trick. Sarri will sign a three-year contract with Juventus.

Lampard to return to Chelsea?

Chelsea meanwhile have to find a replacement. Former captain Frank Lampard could be lured from his position as coach at Derby County; Allegri, who has decided to take a year's sabbatical, is out of the running.
