That was very harsh but USA have a penalty!
the referee has given a penalty.
Obviously sufficient enough doubt as the ref runs to the VAR screen.
Referee chacking with VAR. Maybe it was a penalty.
Press lines up to take. Sent into the box and cleared. A US player ended up on the ground and it looked like they wanted a penalty but they don't get it.
Lloyd races forward and moves inside before being caught by Lara. She's booked and USA have a free in a dangerous position.
Corner for USA. Makes its way to the back post. USA recycle and start again as Press takes another shot. Endler saves again.
Lloyd again. She tries to looper it over Endler and it hits the post and bounces clear.

Chile make a change. Huenteo on in place of Urrutia.
Endler with another save. Brilliant!
Press with a nutmeg and she squares to....nobody! That deserved more.
McDonald with an effort. Hits the post! So close.

Endler with the save. Press this time. She volleys towards goal and Endler saves at the near post.
Ball back to Naeher. USA start again. Chile proving way more resolute to start the second half.
Horan misses. Endler with a world class save. Lovely move from USA as it's sent in from the left, low and precise. Horan thinks she has a tap-in but Endler saves with her foot.
Ball bounces up just lovely for Horan but she blasts the ball over.
A rare Chile attack comes to nothing.
Another delivery from McDonald this time. Chile get it away.
Lovely move as Horan plays it into Lloyd, who lays it off to Pugh. Nice effort but it's deflected out for a corner.
Pugh plays inside as Brian tries to get a shot away, or at least thinks about. Chile clear. USA come straight back down at them and Press shoots. Endler makes the save! Excellent stop.

Half-time. USA comfortable her in Paris.
USA bombarding Chile's penalty area again but nothing doing. Chile holding out.
Two minutes to be added on at the end here.
Soto bulldozes Brian out of the way now and concedes a free. Referee needs to keep an eye on things here as there has been a fair few late fouls in the first half.
Ball headed down to Pugh and she drives it over the bar.
Pugh sees the ball out for a corner and Saez slides in late. Really nasty and unneccessary foul as she gets a serious talking to by the ref. Pugh back up and a free for USA.
Hand ball in the box! It was Lloyd who did it. Free to Chile.
Pugh puhed in the back and she wins a free. Another set-piece for USA.
Great ball over the top for Zamora and she takes it but has Pugh for company. She sees it out for a throw. Chile had a chance to cause problems there. Goes to waste.
Another great ball into the box and Horan is there again. She actually gets in Lloyd's way again though.
Another chance for the US. Press with some trickery as she cuts insides and avoids a tackler. She shoots and it goes well wide. It took a deflection. Corner!
Naeher gets a rare touch of the ball as USA recycle and start again as they try to get a third and put this one beyond doubt. Chile proving stubborn customers so far though.
Horan slides in and tries to play through to Pugh. She gets on the end of it and it's out for a corner? It looks like the case anyway but looks like the referee didn't spot it. Goal kick.
Ertz with a hand-off to a Chilean face! She concedes the free.
GOAL! Ertz with the header from the corner. She glances it home and while Endler did get a glove to it, she couldn't keep it out.
This is getting fairly tense. Some late challenges and it will continue to trend in that direction as long as the score stays close. Another corner now for USA.
Horan booked. She takes down Araya.
GOAL! It's ruled out though. Chile had it in the back of the net but Guerrero was off. Naeher had a nightmare though as she came out and whiffed on it completely.
Cross sent in to Horan and she heads back into the danger zone. Lloyd gets a noggin to it but it's tame. USA still can't find that second goal.
We are back underway after that injury. A really sore one for Lara. She seems okay though.
Pugh a little overzealous as she tries to get to the corner. She catches Lara in the ribs with a knee. That probably should have been a yellow!

USA pushing for another...
Cross into the back post and it's out for another corner.

Lovely finish as it caught Endler off guard.
GOAL! Carli Lloyd scores with a volley. Ball headed out and it fell to her as she arrived into the box and drove it home.
No way through yet for USA but not for the lack of trying. Chile doing a good job of keeping them away from the penalty area though. USA dominating possession.
They can't keep the ball in midfield or in attack as USA continue to press them and win the ball back almost at will.
Press leaves the ball run out for a corner but nobody from Chile touched it? Strange decision. USA are dangerous from set pieces too. Not this one though as it only makes it to the front post and Chile get it away.
Lovely link between Horan and Press as she takes off down the left. Slide arrives from Guerrero and Horan fouls as she tries to win it back.
We nearly have our first goal. Ball bobbles around in the six-yard box and falls to Lloyd. She strikes and it's saved by Endler on the line. So close.

Chile kick us off and Endler launches down the field to her left-back.
We are underway!
The Chileans blaring their national anthem. Quite the atmosphere in Parc des Princes.
Very good article on Lindsey Horan, who drives USA's midfield and will do so today!
Only one change for Chila as Soto replaces Aedo. Here's what FIFA say about the 25-year-old midfielder:
"After a seven-year stay with Colo-Colo, the full-back joined Spanish club Zaragoza CFF last year. A dynamic presence on the flank, Soto appeared in the Chile side that went out in the group phase at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Trinidad and Tobago 2010."
Ertz was pushed back into central defense against Thailand, which was fine as she didn't have much to do really, but she is back in midfield today. Sauerbrunn starts at the back in her place.
Chile's jerseys nicely laid out before the game. Can they cause an upset? They are 4.5 goal underdogs for this one!
In case you were in any doubt, the 13 goals the US scored against Thailand was indeed a record.
Chile XI: Endler, Galaz, Guerrero, Saez, Toro, Soto, Araya, Lara, Zamora, urrutia, Balmaceda.
Plenty of changes for the US. O'Hara, Dunn, Mewis, Lavelle, Heath, Morgan and Rapinoe all drop out.
Chile lost 2-0 to Sweden in their first game and Sweden have beaten Thailand. Sweden are top and it will come down to who can wins that third game but USA can't take their eyes off the ball today.
USWNT beat thailand 13-0 in their first game. They were criticised for running up the score and for celebrating so fervently after each goal! They will be tested today but can Chile take anything off them?
