The US men's national team got their ultimate revenge by beating Trinidad & Tobago and eliminating them from the CONCACAF Gold Cup at FirstEnergy Stadium.

A night to remember for more than just redemption after the World Cup failure thanks to the Soca Warriors, this night was the worst result for T&T and was the night on which goal number 50 was scored.

The USMNT central defender Aaron Long was in charge of netting the 50th goal of the tournament, in the 41st minute of the game, a goal that saw Christian Pulisic, Chelsea's new addition, assist Long to give Gregg Berhalter's side the lead before the half time.

The US' 6-0 victory was the second biggest winning margin so far in this Gold Cup edition, behind Mexico's 7-0 thrashing of Cuba.

Most goals in a single Gold Cup

This 2019 Gold Cup has an average of 3.4 goals per game so far, and even with the group stage not over yet, this edition of the summer tournament already has more goals than in 1991, 1996, 1998, 2002 and 2003. There have been a total of 55 goals in 16 games and this year's finals are on course to overcome the mark established in the 2011 edition with a total of 80 goals scored.
