Madagascar vs Tunisia: as it happened!

90+4

GAME OVER! Tunisia into the semi-final against Senegal on Sunday. Madagascar, who looked dangerous for spells in the first half are left heartbroken after their first Africa Cup of Nations comes to an end.

90+3

Sliti with the finisher. Two on one as Khazri plays it to him and he finishes over Adrien. That's it for Madagascar and Tunisia will meet Senegal on Sunday.

90

We will have four minutes of added time but it seems Madagascar's run in their first ever Africa Cup of Nations will draw to a close.

87

Anicet gets himself booked for a foul on Khenissi, which might have spelled trouble for Madagascar.

86

They look dangerous on the break though.

86

Tunisia content to sit and soak up pressure as Madgascar look for one back.

83

That sums up Madagascar's night. Ball sent across and Andriamahitsinoro drives it out almost for a throw.

81

Through ball played to Haddadi and his cross is blocked.

77

And now they make a chance. It's Ilaimaharitra off for Rakotoharimalala.

76

Madagascar trying to make something happen but the cross is blocked for a corner.

71

Andriamahitsinoro races through and the Tunisian defender does excellently to get back and win the ball back as they survive a brief scare.

70

Sub keeper back on the bench as the keeper says he is okay to continue.

68

Adrien down injured now after hurting his hamstring. The sub keeper is up and warming up.

66

Khazri with his trusty right foot again. He whips this one around the wall and wide though.

64

Msakni hauled down by Nomenjanahary.

61

There's the second. Madagascar have been just surviving in the last couple of minutes and Khazri is the architect if you can call him that. He strikes and it's saved by Adrien. Msakni follows up and drives it into the back of the net. 2-0.

60

Khazri with a cheeky one from distance. It goes well wide but he tries to catch Adrien napping.

57

Tunisia in search of more. Msakniraces through and falls over under pressure before Haddadi picks it up and cross low. It's put out for a corner and Madagascar have to deal with more danger.

54

Strike comes in from Khazri and Adrien beats it away with his fists.

50

THERE IT IS! It comes via a deflection. Sassi with the strike and it comes off the back of Fontaine. Catches Adrien on his wrong foot and that might go down as an own goal but Sassi takes it for now.

48

Injury now as Kechrida got a hand in the face.

46

Khazri with the goal! He looked offside and he is now as the linesman lifts a late flag. He snuck in from the right and took the ball down before finishing beyond Adrien. Offside though and zero doubt about that.

46

We are back underway for the second half.

Teams back out on the field and ready for more action. Can Madagascar hang on?

45+1

That it for the first half and it's fitting that it ends with an effort from Tunisia. It's well wide but a header from Khenissi, who has been maybe their most dangerous attacker, and the referee whistles.

45+1

More pressure from Tunisia. Msakni shoots and Adrien to the rescue again.

45

Madgascar come back to life for the last minute or two. Strike from the left is a mile wide though.

44

Decent effort from Amaba but it bounces kindly into Hassen's breadbasket.

44

Corner headed wide as Madgascar gets a little breather. They need to hang on until half-time.

43

Another good chance. Chaalali hits it from downtown and it's saved by Adrien. Corner. Tunisia getting more impatient. They're all over Madagascar here.

41

So close! Ball sent across the box from that troublesome right-hand side again and Khenissi gets a leg to it. He can't turn it towards goal though as it goes wide.

40

Corner for Tunisia, is it? Ball across the penalty area by Kechrida and it's going wide but Adrien can't take his hand out of the way. He cries for a corner and the referee didn't see it. Goal kick in the end.

36

Tunisia are ever so lightly knocking on the front door... they'll start going around peeking in windows soon if they can't get through!

35

Tunisia want a penalty. Referee gets down low and says he got the ball. It was Msakni who was clipped, or looked to be clipped by Razakanantenaina. Referee was resolute. No penalty.

34

Madagascar get a rare attacking going but Metanire launches it towards goal in hopeful fashion. That's way over the bar.

32

Khazri forces a really good save from Adrien. Best chance of the game and Adrien is equal to Khazri.

31

Khazri has a free. He can really hit these and that is in a perfect position for a hit!

31

Tunisia just slowly increasing the pressure on Madagascar.

30

They're getting close. Adrien gathers again but Tunisia definitely in the ascendency.

29

Andriatsima over zealous again as he fouls the defender as the ball is sent up between them.

28

But Tunisia are improving now and another ball comes across the area that Khazri can't get to first.

27

Khazri tries to wriggle free to get into a shooting position. He can't as Madagascar surround him.

26

Tunisia finally getting their purple patch now as Madagascar ease off.

23

Khenissi races through looking to get on the end of a through ball but Adrien gets there first.

21

El Khazri gets the ball through on the right and crosses and Khenissi picks it up. He can't get a shot away though. First proper danger from Tunisia.

19

Cross sent in and Andriatsima is offside. More pressure from Madagascar though, who are playing like a side with nothing to lose.

17

Foul on Amada and Madagascar start another attack down the left.

16

Again, Tunisia stunned as they try to bring the ball out. They escape this time but just about.

15

Another Tunisia attack down the middle fails as Madagascar put pressure on.

14

Andriamahitsinoro has been up and down that right wing for Madagascar so far. He is the key to their pressing.

12

That Madagascar press working for them again as they jump in front of Tunisia and win a free after winning the ball back.

11

Cross by Kechrida. It's blocked and Tunisia finally getting control of this one as expected. They have a corner.

8

Tunisia try an attack as Khenissi pops one out to the left but Madagascar close them down and they lose it again. Madagascar taking the game to Tunisia.

6

Tunisia cough it up and Madagascar break. They have Tunisia rattled here. Lovely flowing move into the final third and the cross lets them down.

4

Madagascar dominating early on here and they've come to play. They had a really good group stage and are growing in confidence.

2

Tunisia on the attack early but Madagascar cut off all roads forward.

Ivory Coast are out of the Africa Cup of Nations. Now it's time to see who joins them in the semi-final. The winners of this one play Senegal at 18:00 CEST on Sunday night!

All eyes are on this one right now. It's Ivory Coast and Algeria and it's gone to penalties.

Madagascar midfielder, Sliti, thinks the debutants can win the African Cup of Nations at their first attempt.

"We are happy with the victory over DR Congo and it shows that we are capable of winning the Africa Cup of Nations," he said.

"Now that we have scaled the Congolese hurdle, we will work very hard for our next game. With our players and great staff, we'll do everything to go as far as we can."

Madagascar, on the other hand, have beaten Nigeria and Burundi but drew with Guinea. Their last 16 game went to penalties also and they beat Congo in the shoot-out.

Tunisia haven't won a game yet in normal time. They drew all three of their group games against Angola, Mali and Mauritania before beating Ghana on penalties in the round of 16.

Madagascar XI: Adrien, Pascal, Metanire, Fontaine, Mombris, Ilaimaharitra, Andrianantenaina, Amada, Andrea, Andriatsima, Nomenjanahary.

Tunisia XI: Hassen, Kechrida, Bronn, Meriah Haddadi, Skhiri, Chaalali, Sassi, Khazri, Khenissi, Msakni.

It's Madagascar's first trip to the African Cup of Nations.

Tunisia last won it in 2004. That was actually the only time they've won it but they made it to the final in 1965 and 1996 but lost on both occasions.
