Zidane: "Hazard? It took me three months to settle in Italy"

Zinedine Zidane faced the media this afternoon to look ahead to tomorrow's Champions League meeting with Club Brugge at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Champions League nights are back at the Bernabéu: "Our fans are always important. We know what we want to do, we haven't started our Champions League campaign well and we need to take points against Brugge tomorrow".

Casemiro's house burgled: "That was terrible, we felt really bad  - not just for the player but for everything that happened. Luckily nothing serious happened and the only things they took were material possessions".

Three wins from three

Team has got over the PSG defeat: "We need to be more solid, have strength when we don't have the ball and create chance when we do. We're happy with what we are doing. And this game is very, very important for us to start building up points".

More emphasis on defence, less on attack? "Modern football is focused on counter-attacking - once you get the ball, you have to punish your opponent. With the quality we've got, we need a little more punch in attack".

Zidane not worried about Eden Hazard

Advice for Hazard: “I'm not going to give him any advice, or tell him how he should be. He's a very important player for us and we want more from him but we have to remain calm. I'm not worried. He'll succeed here because he's a very good player - and that isn't going to change. If he shows it tomorrow then that'll be great”.

Hazard's slow start: “The same thing happened to me and I was relaxed about it. I knew that things would start working out with time. It was much worse when I first moved to Italy. It took me three months before it all started coming together. I know Hazard is going to be an important player - he'll come good”.

Hazard not 100% fit: “It's got nothing to do with the physical side. Relax”.
