Brazil vs Senegal: live

A mildly entertaining friendly in a sparsely attended Singapore National stadium ended in stalemate as Brazil and Senegal played out a 1-1 draw.

The game marked 100 caps for Neymar Jr. and the PSG player had a relatively discreet evening with his best efforts coming from deal ball efforts.

Both goals came in the first half with Liverpool striker Firmino chipping home after some fine build-up play from Gabriel Jesus with Diedhiou firing home the equaliser from the penalty spot after Marquinhos had fouled the busy Sadio Mane.

Brazil now face the Nigerian Super Eagles in the same venue next Sunday.

FT in Singapore.

Fans starting to exit the National Stadium in Singapore now, happy with their lot as the game peters out.

Sarr off and Thoub on for Senegal.

We're in the final minute of normal time and a draw in Singapore seems to be on the cards. A fair result given the balance of play. We'll go to the 95th minuite with 5' added on.

Both the PSG striker and Casemiro over the ball. It's Neymar who does take but an easy take for Gomis.

Richarlison fouled by Koulibaly and Brazil win a dangerous free... Neymar to take....

Richarlison now goes close for Brazil with a action pacjked final flurry here in Singapore.

Mane hits the post. A great hit from the Liverpool striker with Ederson beaten.

Great save from Ederson as Senegal strike with the City stopper acrobatically saving.

Sarr the latest player requiring attention as we head towrds the 90' minute mark.

Game held up again as the Senegal keeper receives attention from the medical team.

Lodi on for Brazil - Ndiaye for Gueye (Senegal)

Limited clear cut goal scoring chances in this half as the changes keep coming

Diedhiou off-Diallo on (Senegal)

Everton has a try but drags his shot wide

Neymar takes a knock and goes to ground clutching his ankle. A swift roll and the PSG man is on his feet as we enjoy another cooling break.

Just under 20' remaining in Singapore as Alex Sandro impedes Sarr. Gueye takes but the ball ends up with Ederson.

Richalison on for Coutinho.

Alex Sandro carded

Another free for Brazil, Neymar floats in the dead-ball but the effort ends up in Gomi's arms.

Neymar takes the free and drives the ball onto the roof of Gomis' net, what a strike from the PSG striker.

Arthur off for Henrique (Brazil)

Neymar over the ball

Koulibaly for a tug on Jesus as Brazil win a dangerous free right on the edge of the Senegal area.

Sarr on for Kouyate (Senegal)

Halt in the play as the Senegalese medics are on the pitch attending to Kouyate  who needs attention.

Over the hour mark here in Singapore with a wide open and enjoyable game (despite the lack of intensity of a competitive match).

Surprising to see the Gremio man (Everton) make this Brazil squad with his team in the semi final of the 2019 Libertadores and needing to get a result against fellow Brazilian side after a 1-1 draw in Porto Alegre.

Firmino off with Everton his replacement

Dangerous free for Senegal as Diatta takes. Headed away but falls at the feet of Koulibaly but the Napoli man drives over

Avoiding injury is the primordial objective for all 22 men on the park as Mane is tripped.

The game could actually do with a few new faces to freshen things up. The pace of proceedings has dropped a bit from that of the first half.

Great play from Brazil as Coutinho finds Gabriel Jesus and the Man City player tries to dink the ball over Gomis. Excellent counter from the Seleção.

A similar pattern to the end of the first half, with Brazil enjoying the bulk of possession as Casemiro tries a long range speculative effort but Gomis gathers

I'd be interested to know how much match tickets were priced at, as the attendance at the National Stadium is quite disappointing.

No changes at the break as we get underway in Singapore.

The teams return to the pitch at the Singapore National Stadium.

The whistle sounds and we head to the interval level in Singapore.

Neymar through , one on one with Gomis but strikes the ball straight at the Dijon stopper.

Good effort from the Bristol City striker, hitting the ball low and hard and just out of reach for Ederson.

Goooooooooooooooooooooool. Senegal strike back

Diedhiou scores from the spot.

Marquinhos carded for his trouble

Senegal win a spot kick as Marquinhos drags Mane to the ground

Neymar on the ball with some neat build-up play but just over-hits the pass threaded twoards Gabriel Jesus.

Good spell from the men in green with sustained possession. Ederson still yet to be called into action however with Senegal not yet mustering a shot on target.

Call from Senegal players for a penalty as  the ball appears to strike Marquinhos on the arm. Nothing doing for the Singaporean referee.

I suspect we'll see some wholesale changes at the interval with both national team managers keen to give as much playing time to as many players as possible.

Casemiro goes to ground with an elbow in the face. The Real Madrid central is back on his feet and okay to continue.

Poor delivery from Gassama as once again Senegal's fine build-up play is let down by the final pass.

A brief break in the play as both teams take a hydration break. Current temp. in Singapore is 28C but with 78% humidity.

Delightful link-up play between Coutinho and Neymar with back heels and flicks in the Senegal area. The PSG striker was marginally offside and play is detained.

Mane tests Ederson but the City keeper is alert to deny the Liverpool striker. Senegal now in the groove as they have eased their way into the game.

This is the first ever meeting between the current Copa America champions and Africa Cup on Nations runners-up.

Coutinho almost feeds Neymar but Gomis pounces to gather the ball. A quiet start from the PSG man so far.

A terrible effort from the Schalke 04 player as he drives the ball high and over the bar.

Senegal win a free-kick approx. 25m out. Danger here for Brazil as Sane shapes to hit.

Great effort from the PSG man but just failed to get the long range shot on target.

Senegal's final ball the ingrediente currently letting the African side down as Gueye truies an audaucios long range effort.

Dani Alves gets better with age as the Brazil captain delights the fans with a cheeky nutmeg.

Brazil displaying great energy levels refusing to let Senegal generate any rhtyhm to their play. Total domination from Tite's men at present.

Senegal launch a counter with Mane's ball just slightly over-hit for Gassama. Brazil very much on top in the opening stage of the action.

Great play from the "Canarinho" with Gabriel Jesus linking up well with the Liverpool player. First threat on goal from both sides and we're 1-0 up !

Gol, gol , gol. Firmino lobs home for Brazil

Plenty of wayward passes from both sides in the opening stage of the action. "It feels like a friendly" with a pre-season type pace to proceedings.

A few robust tackles flying in a Senegal try and channel the ball through the centre of the park through Sane and Gueye. Brazil midfield doing their job well and snuff out the forray.

Brazil create early danger as Dani Alves looks for Firmino but the Liverpool player heads the ball onto a Senegal player only for Gomis to grasp.

Can Neymar celebrate his 100th cap with a goal today?

Very sloppy start from Senegal with Gassama giving the ball away cheaply.

20:00 in Singapore, 14:00 in Central Europe, all set at the National Stadium as the whistle sounds.

Local boy Muhammad Taqi is today's match official

A very sparse crowd in the National Stadium in Singapore it has to be said. Plenty of yellow Brazil shirts and a significant presence of Liverpool shirts visible too.

The teams are on the pitch as both national anthems sound. Brazil in their iconic yellow shirts and blue shorts. Senegal today wearing green shirts and green shorts. Dani Alves really belting it out !

The official starting XI tweet from the CBF.

Brazil will play Nigeria on Sunday in the second match of the Brazil Global Tour with competitive action on the line for Senegal next as they face Congo in the first game of Africa Cup of Nations qualification.

Dani Alves captains Brazil again today and earns his 117th cap in the process. The São Paulo player is now the fourth most capped player in Brazil national team history.

Two starters for Liverpool today in Singapore.

The Brazil national team mascot (which looks like an oversized and well pissed off canary) greeting members of the "Canarinha" as they arrive at the stadium.

Both sides starting with strong XI's. Neymar picking up that 100th cap and now just one behind Jairzinho and Ronaldinho on 101.

Team sheets are in

... and the most capped Brazilian of all time I hear you ask..... It's former captain Cafu on 150 caps.

Neymar set to earn his 100th cap with the Brazilian national side today in Singapore.

The action at the National Stadium gets underway at 14:00.
