REAL MADRID
Zidane and Mourinho to cross paths on Monday in France
The two managers will meet on Monday in Nyom at UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum with Zidane under some pressure and Mourinho eyeing up the Real Madrid job.
Zinedine Zidane and Jose Mourinho will come face to face in Nyon on Monday. The two will be there are the manager's forum held by UEFA every year. They have published the list of manager that will attend the event including: Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool), Maurizio Sarri (Juventus), Zidane (Real Madrid), Guardiola (Manchester City), Ancelotti (Napoli), Tuchel (Paris Saint Germain), Erik ten Hag (Ajax), Unai Emery (Arsenal FC), Sérgio Conceição (FC Porto), Solskjær (Manchester United FC), Paulo Fonseca (AS Roma), Rudi Garcia (Olympique Lyon), José Mourinho, Massimiliano Allegri and Mircea Lucescu.
The 15 managers will meet after being selected by the technical committee of UEFA to exchange ideas and to speak about the projects for the future. But amongst those selected, there are always some paths crossed at interesting moments. Klopp's Liverpool play Pep's City at the weekend and they will meet on Monday too. The meeting also comes on the back of Mourinho's comments about Pep and his possession style.
Mourinho, who is available to accept a managerial role and has been linked to Bayern Munich, is also willing to manage Real Madrid if they come calling. The list released by UEFA does not necessarily mean they have all confirmed, however, so there could be some last minute changes.
UEFA select the managers in an effort to have representation from all of the top European leagues and also consider recent achievements. Zidane is coming off the back of a year where he only manage for part of it and hasn't won anything with Mourinho in a similar boat.
