Guardiola claims another of Mourinho's Premier League records
Sunday's win against Sheffield United made Pep Guardiola the fastest manager to reach 100 wins in the Premier League. Jürgen Klopp is third, after José Mourinho.
Pep Guardiola continues to rack up new records in the English game. After becoming the first manager in history to complete a domestic treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup, guiding his Manchester City side to a new points record and setting a new goals record, Pep has swiped a record which up until this weekend was held by José Mourinho - becoming the fastest manager to reach 100 top flight victories.
Guardiola gained his 100th win with City in just 134 games - eight less than the 142 matches Mourinho took to reach three figures during his spell at Chelsea. Third in the ranking is Liverpool's Jürgen Klopp, who reached the 100-wins mark after 159 games.
A century of wins which enabled Guardiola and his troops to lift the Premier League trophy twice. During his time at City, Pep's team has registered a total of 317 points - an average of 2.37 points per game. That might sound impressive but it's actually the lowest figure of his managerial career. In 152 LaLiga games his Barcelona side averaged 2.45 points per game and with Bayern Munich, 2.52.

In the 2017-18 season, Pep set a number of new records: winning the league title by the biggest margin (19 points ahead of second-placed Manchester United), the most points in one season (100), the most points away from home (50), the most victories in one season (32 - a figure City equalled in 2018-19) and the most consecutive wins - 18.
His City side are also the all-time top scorers for one Premier League season - ending the 2017-18 season with 106 goals and also with the greatest goal difference on record. City have been suffering this season and after dominating the league for two years, now find themselves 14 points adrift of leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
