Surreal situation as two clubs confirm arrival of same player
Rafidine Abdullah has just commenced training with Spanish 2B side Hercules as Swiss second tier Stade Lausanne Ouchy confirmed his signing via social media.
Just as French born Rafidine Abdullah player pulled on his training kit at the start of a trial session with Spanish 2B side Hercules (from Alicante), Swiss second tier outfit FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy confirmed the acquisition of the Marseille born player via the official club Twitter account.
The Swiss side were first to post their message with a picture of a smiling Abdullah posing with a Stade Lausanne Ouchy club official as the outfit confirmed the acquisition of the player through to 2021. This message was posted at 11:36 CET.
Just 14 minutes later (at 11:50 CET), the official Hercules CF Twitter account announced that Abdullah was embarking on a trial period with the Alicante based side with the accompanying photo showing the player training in full Hercules training kit at the Rico Perez stadium in Alicante.
It appears that after the confusion, the player will now be packing his bags Spain and heading to Ouchy (Lausanne) where he will finally join Stade LS Ouchy with the club currently wallowing in eighth place in the ten team Swiss Challenge League.
