Osasuna 1-4 Real Madrid: Zidane on Bale, Isco, Jovic, Hazard...
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane praised his side after Los Blancos came from behind to beat Osasuna 4-1 in LaLiga on Sunday.
Analysis of Real Madrid's 4-1 win:
"We needed to get a result after the defeat to Real Sociedad. This is a tough place to come to, a ground where it isn't easy to come away with the win, but we managed it. We got off to a tricky start, conceding a goal from a set piece, but we got ourselves level and, from that moment on, we started to play better. The whole team worked really hard and we deserve the win."
Madrid's slow start at El Sadar:
"We went out there with intensity, but they came flying out of the blocks, as we knew that they tend to. They scored from a set piece - that can happen. But we kept on doing what we know best, and grew in confidence through the football we played. After we got the equaliser, it was a different game."
Isco playing at his best:
"I don't know if that's his best, because he's a very good player. But it's true that having him in between the lines is very important for us when we've got the ball. He put in a great performance, just as the rest did, and I'm happy for him. I'm pleased for him that he got on the scoresheet, too."
Eden Hazard left out of the squad again:
"It's something we agreed on together. Today wasn't the right time [for Hazard to return from injury] and this week we'll see. He's going to need this week, which is going to be a long week [of training, with Real Madrid not back in action until next Sunday]. Hopefully we'll see him back next week."
Gareth Bale back in the starting XI:
"He did well. I'm happy with his performance; he gave his all in both attack and defence. He was a bit short of legs at the end, that's why he came off. We know the player he is, and that he's going to bring a lot to the side between now and the end of the season."
Problems between Zidane and Bale:
"The problem is that people want us [Zidane and his coaches] to have a problem with Bale, but we don't. We have many players; it isn't easy to manage. He's a very important player, he's always shown that, and he's going to continue playing, just like his team-mates."
Luka Jovic makes the most of his substitute appearance with a goal:
"I'm please for him; he needed that. He's an out-and-out striker who isn't happy if he isn't scoring - it doesn't matter what you say to him: that he's doing well, playing well... He needs to keep on improving, but I'm happy about his goal. It's going to stand him in good stead."
