Liverpool: Henderson ruled out for three weeks with hamstring injury
The Liverpool captain will miss three weeks with a hamstring injury after leaving the field in the second half against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday.
Jordan Henderson will miss three weeks with a hamstring injury, Liverpool FC have confirmed. The Liverpool captain was subbed off in the second half of the Champions League game against Atlético Madrid game on Tuesday night at the Wanda Metropolitano.
He will miss games against West Ham, Watford, Chelsea, Bournemouth. Klopp's side play Atlético Madrid in the second leg of that Champions League fixture on 11 March and the midfielder will be touch and go for that game.
Klopp confirmed that Henderson 'felt his hamstring' on Tuesday night but did not know the severity of the injury. He has since learned the extent of the injury and says it's 'not cool'.
"Hendo, it could have been worse. How we all know, it was a hamstring," said the manager.
"We heard of different hamstring injuries now around in the Premier League – Harry Kane, for example. It’s not that bad.
"But he will be out, I think, for three weeks or so, which is not cool. But how we see it, we were still lucky. That’s it."
