Watford win sees Liverpool unbeaten run come to an end
The Premier League leaders had their wings clipped at Vicarage Road as a brace from Ismaïla Sarr and a late Troy Deeney strike saw the Hornets secure maximum points.
Update:
With recent wins over Southampton and Norwich stretching their unbeaten run to 44 games and leapfrogging the great Nottingham Forest side of the 1970s and past the great 2017-18 FC Barcelona (both on 43), defeat at the hands of Watford sees the run come to an end. The 'Reds' were on a highly impressive 422 day and 44 game unbeaten streak in the English top flight.
Three second half goals, a brace from Sarr and a late effort from Troy Deeney were enough for the relegation threatened side to overcome the current Champions League holders and runaway Premier League leaders who delivered an under-par performance at Vicarage Road.
