Coronoavirus fears sees Juventus 'B' team quarantined
Juventus

Juventus have confirmed that they have decided to put members of their 'B' / Under-23 team (who play in Serie C) in quarantine as a precautionary measure.

The decision was taken after a recent league game away to US Pianese, where it's been revealed that four members (three players and a back room staff employee) of the side from Piancastagnaio have been diagnosed as having Covid-19. Juve state that they hope the 'B' team can be able to return to full training on March 8th.

The club issued a statement earlier announcing the initiative:

Training activities of the Juventus Under 23 team are temporarily suspended:

'The preventive measure was decided upon indication, and pending further official communications, by the health authorities of Alessandria (Hygiene and Public Health Service - SISP ), with which the Juventus health personnel are in constant contact.

The reason is the new cases of COVID-19, which have emerged in the last few hours among the players of the US Pianese, which the bianconeri faced on 23 February at the "Moccagatta" in Alessandria.

It is specified that, six days after the game, the Juventus players remain under medical supervision.

Juventus is in constant contact with LegaPro.'
