Renato Ibarra is taken to a Mexican prison after domestic violence accusation
The América winger was arrested by the police after being accused of domestic violence and this Saturday was taken to a prison in Mexico City.

Renato Ibarra was arrested earlier this week after being accused of hitting his wife and even though he was cooperating with the authorities, this Saturday he was taken to a prison in Mexico City after not being able to prove his innocence.
According to the journalist Carlos Jiménez, Renato Ibarra’s wife, Lucely Chala, did not forgive him so the police took the Club América player and another four people involved in the case to a prison located north of the city.

Chala and her sister already told their version to the authorities and, according to their testimony, Ibarra hit them both in their residence on Thursday, 5 March. After two days of investigations, Ibarra could not prove his innocence and was arrested by the police.
On Friday, Ibarra's attorney decided to stop representing the player without giving a reason. For the moment, America and Liga MX are closely following the case and have already released a statement saying they will not tolerate any sort of violence from their players or the fans.
