Michael Jordan 'The Last Dance' series: episode release dates
The docuseries has been a huge global success since release date focusing on Michael Jordan’s career and the 1990s Chicago Bulls team.
Released globally via Netflix on 19 April (ESPN for the US market with a later Netflix release in July), the ten part docu-series focuses on the powerful untold story of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls NBA dynasty with special focus on the 1997/98 season, in which Jordan announced his retirement as the Bulls ran out as NBA champions with a final 4-2 win over Utah Jazz. The series is packed with previously unseen footage and interviews with Jordan himself along with key figures from the era such as Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson, Dennis Rodman, and other key players from Chicago’s championship runs with initial reaction to the documentary being universally positive.
Praise came from basketball players, past and present with the likes of Magic Johnson stating: Michael Jordan’s Last Dance was fantastic and I loved all two hours of it!! Young fans that never got to see Michael play now understand why he’s the greatest of all time in basketball!
A positive response came too from the current crop of NBA with Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo already looking forward to the next instalments of the 10-part documentary, while Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris posting on his Twitter profile that The Last Dance had been the highlight of his quarantine period so far.

Episode 5 and 6 of the series will air in the USA on ESPN on Sunday 3 May at 1900 ET with viewers outside the States being able to catch these episodes on Netflix on 4 May.
Episode 7 and 8 will air in the USA on ESPN on Sunday 10 at 1900 ET with viewers outside the States being able to catch these episodes on Netflix on 11 May.
The final instalments of the show will be broadcast in on ESPN for US viewers at 1900 ET with Netflix issuing the finale the following day (18 May).
