Mbappé: "Everybody is talking, but nobody knows"
Real Madrid will be alert to Kylian Mbappé's latest message, which, in France, is being read as a nod towards his current club, PSG.
Kylian Mbappé has been one of the main figures in the headlines during the coronavirus lockdown period.
Real Madrid see the PSG star as key to their future plans, although their move to sign him will be postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus.
The 21-year-old striker has so far been doing his part to ensure his move to Madrid comes to fruition. He has yet to agree to a renewal of his current contract at Parc des Princes, which expires in 2022. Although in public, he has opted to express his loyalty to PSG with his latest words on Twitter, which apparently made reference to the ongoing speculation about his future.
"Everyone is talking, but nobody knows. Miss my team, @PSG," wrote the player in a message accompanied with love hearts in the blue-and-red colours of the Ligue 1 club.
Mbappé's message seen as nod to PSG
The French press have taken Mbappé’s message as a nod to PSG amid the barrage of news linking him with Real Madrid. The France international has always avoided questions about a possible contract extension with PSG and, up to this point, he had not made such an explicit admission of love for the Parisian club.
Mbappé’s message will likely have caught the eyes of Real Madrid. If he eventually decides to renew his PSG deal, it would greatly complicate Los Blancos’ mission to bring him to the Bernabéu.
On the other hand, if PSG's owners force him to stay another year without tying him down to a new deal, Madrid would have the upper hand in negotiations for the player.
