Independence Day store opening hours on July 4th: Walmart, Costco, Target...

Many smaller and independent businesses and shops will close on Independence Day (4 July) with others operating with a normal or reduced timetable on Saturday.

The US will celebrate Independence Day on the 4th of July with many citizens concerned and divided over whether to re-open the country or not as cases of Covid-19 in many areas of the country see no sign in slowing down as people play little attention to social distancing and mask wearing advice.

With coronavirus restrictions being re-introduced in many areas it is wise to consult consult CDC and WHO guidelines on how to shop safely.

An ever-growing number of national chains are now offering clients a service bearing the acronym BOPUS (Buy online, pick-up in-store) or curbside pick-up where customers can use a type of drive-in service to receive their goods.

A wide range of stores ranging from Apple through to Dick's Sporting Goods and clothing brands such as Gap, Old Navy are offering 'curbside pick-up' as an option in their online and app commercial channels.

July 4th opening hours:

Costco will be closed on Independence Day. Costco traditionally closes on several major holidays, including Memorial Day and the 4th of July.
