Cristiano Ronaldo’s inner circle have denied rumours that the Juventus star has been contacted by Barcelona regarding a potential move to Camp Nou. The mere prospect of Ronaldo and Leo Messi, the two greatest players of their generation, teaming up together for a last hurrah in the claret and blue is enough to whet the footballing appetite of any fan of the game but those close to the Portugal captain have confirmed to AS that any talk of a move to Barça is pure speculation, describing the rumours as “completely false.”

The 33-year-old is under contract at Juventus until 2022 and his intention to is to remain in Turin as he seeks a sixth Champions League victory that would make him only the second player after Clarence Seedorf to win Europe’s greatest club prize with three different clubs. Furthermore, those consulted by AS say that Ronaldo and his family are very happy in Turin and he has no intention of leaving Juventus for Barcelona or any other club.
