One of the ideas being studied by the World Cup 2022 organising body (SC) as they continue with preparations for the World Cup in Qatar, is the "Host a fan" initiative. The drive looks to create unique experience for supporters visiting the Gulf nation in 2022.

The Supreme Committee have published a 17-question questionnaire on the official Qatar 2022 website with corresponding posts via their social media channels to gauge the public opinion about the innovative idea.

The Supreme Committee are anxious to know the views of followers with the resulting feedback set to offer key information in the possible creation of a unique fan experience where supporters from around the planet could stay in Qatari homes during the competition in 2022.

Should the feedback be positive and the project to take off, fans will be given a unique insight in experiencing the state of Qatar up close along with the promise of generous hospitality and, no doubt creating lifelong friendships.

The organising committee anticipate some 1.5 million fans from around the world to descend on Qatar during the staging of the tournament which gets underway in 21 November 2022 and finishes with the final game at the new 80,000 capacity Lusail stadium on 18 December.
