Update:
Netherlands 1-1 Spain: Spain player ratings

Spain were held to a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena in an international friendly on Wednesday night. We take a look at the standout performers and Sergio Ramos' 176th cap.

Unai Simón

He made his senior debut and pulled off a couple of fine stops, especially from Memphis Depay's close range effort. Impressive debut, will be disappointed to concede but there wasn't much he could do about Van de Beek's goal. 7/10

Hector Bellerín

He came back after four years away from La Roja with enthusiasm. Got up and down the right flank throughout the game, not to dissimiliar to Jesús Navas, who he replaced in the squad. 7/10

Eric García

Very good positionally for a young centre-back, also strong coming out with the ball. Impressive display from the Manchester City man. 7/10

Iñigo Martínez

Having a left-footed centre-back amongst the group is vital for Luis Enrique. He also brings experience to the back four. Was replaced by Sergio Ramos in the 84th minute. 6/10

Gayà

After his excellent display for Valencia in the last league match against Madrid, the left-back started the game brimming with confidence, but was forced off in the 29th minute after a clash with a Dutch player that required stitches. 5/10

Rodri

Set the pace of the game for La Roja, sitting in front of the back four. Had central midfield help from captain Koke, but offers a protection for the front five to attack. 6/10

Koke

Gives options in defence and attack. Lacked the cutting edge in the final third, sending a close range effort over the Dutch bar when it was easier to score. 6/10

Canales

Excellent throughout and scored his first senior goal for Spain. A fine finish, picking the ball up in the inside left channel from a nicely weighted pass from Morata. Replaced by Marcos Llorente in the 71st minute. 8/10

Gerard Moreno

Luis Enrique started the Villarreal man on the right of the attack, where he is able to cut in on his left foot. Had a couple of efforts, without seriously testing Bizot. In the 61st minute he was replaced by Wolves winger Adama Traoré. 6/10

Morata

Played Canales through to make it 1-0. Always gives it his all for Spain. He was replaced by Ferran Torres in the 61st minute. 7/10

Asensio

Very active and dangerous on the left wing, playing on his stronger left foot. Sent in a couple of crosses in the first half, but nobody was there to finish them off. Displayed his best in the quarter of an hour he played in the second half before being replaced by Dani Olmo. 6/10

Substitutions

Reguilón

Came on for the injured Gayà. Withstood the attacks of the Dutch well, always a threat going forward. Had to deal with second half changes made by the Netherlands. 6/10

Adama Traoré

Entered in the 61st minute for Gerard Moreno. Quieter and not as effective as his last performances with Spain. 6/10

Ferrán Torres

He replaced Morata in the 61st minute, playing as a false nine where Guardiola has placed him in recent games, but could not score. 6/10

Dani Olmo

He took the place of Asensio in the 61st minute. Had to sacrifice himself in defence to help Reguilón and had to work hard through defensive transitions as the Dutch sought victory. 6/10

Marcos Llorente

Made his debut for the senior team, coming in for Canales in the 71st minute. Good defensive effort but wasn't able to muster anything going forward as the game slowed down. 6/10

Sergio Ramos

He played six minutes and equalled Gianluigi Buffon's caps record, with the most European caps - 176. 6/10
