PS5 restock updates: Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, Costco, Kohl's, GameStop, Target...
Looking to find availability of the PS5? Follow the latest updates on where it is in stock from Amazon, GameStop, Walmart and other retailers in the US.
As the holidays get closer and the cutoff date to get your package delivered in time for Christmas approaches those seeking a PS5 for themselves or a loved one are anxious to find one. Locating an available console can feel like a fool’s errand, that is unless you are willing to pay through the nose. Since 12 November release in the United States, the PlayStation 5 (PS5) has repeatedly sold out as soon as any stock drops with at least one retailer accidentally overselling.
The main gaming retailers from the US such as Walmart, Costco, GameStop, Kohl's, Best Buy, Target and Amazon have been restocking bundles (both online and in physical stores) during the last month on expected dates such as Black Friday 2020 and at unannounced moments. However as it stands, it seems virtually no retailers have the console in stock, at least on their online stores. Even Amazon has said it has doesn't know "when or if this item will be back in stock". Although you may still have a chance of finding a PS5 at a physical store.
Sony says demand for its new console has been "unprecedented", but has assured customers that it is working to get new stock to retailers.

There are two types of PS5: a $499 model with a disc-reader and a $399 digital-only version. Given its lower price, the digital-only PS5 has, unsurprisingly, been the quicker of the two to go out of stock.
Gamers' attempts to get their hands on the PS5 have also not been helped by opportunistic scalpers buying in bulk and then reselling the console on sites such as eBay for exorbitantly marked-up prices.

Walmart has been tweeting out when new stock will drop but as to be expected a mad dash follows. You can also be proactive and call around, usually the people at the store have a better idea of when stock will be coming in.
No longer an option is to use the BrickSeek inventory checker website to see if your local Walmart has any PS5s in stock. The retailer has blocked BrickSeek from seeing the stores’ inventory.
Across Twitter some lucky individuals report walking in to the stores and finding the store has a unit but there is no guarantee. Looking to find availability of the PS5? Follow the latest updates on where it is in stock from Amazon, GameStop, Walmart and other retailers in the US.

PS5 prices on Ebay:
For those who cannot wait for stores to restock and are willing to pay a significantly extra buck, eBay is always an option. At time of writing, there were several "buy it now" options for the PS5, starting at $900 but with shipping and handling total cost over $1000 and rising fast from there.
At time of writing, bidding options were ranging from $610 to $650, although those prices are likely to have risen quite a bit when bidding times close.
