Messi: "Neymar? How is the fee going to be paid to PSG?"
Barcelona captain Leo Messi gave a wide-ranging interview with Jordi Évole in which he discussed the possibility of Neymar returning to Camp Nou.
Barcelona forward Leo Messi spoke at length about the club’s current predicament during an interview with journalist Jordi Évole and was quite frank about the club’s chances of securing Neymar’s return amid a presidential election campaign and with the Camp Nou coffers not exactly bursting at the seams.
“The club is really in a bad situation economically and it will be difficult to get back to where we were, we need to sign players and it’s going to be difficult to rebuild the squad. In Neymar’s case, for example, how is the fee going to be paid to PSG? Hopefully the next president will do a good job and get the club back to where it deserves to be, although it won’t be easy.”
Messi on Koeman: "He's doing a good job"
Messi also had words of encouragement for Ronald Koeman, who after a difficult start to his Barcelona coaching career has now seen results begin to arrive. “Koeman brings seriousness and a clear idea of what he wants the club to be. It was the right thing to do to bring him here. He’s doing a good job and that is always difficult when you come into the club. We are improving.”
