Spain international Santi Cazorla who currently plays for Al Sadd SC spoke recently about his belief that Qatar will host a fabulous World Cup 2022, given the preparations that have been on-going for so many years.

“Holding the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was the best decision for the whole world, given the focus of Qatar on holding a perfect tournament. I’ve been to a number of the World Cup stadiums, and the infrastructure is spot on at every level, meaning it’s going to be such a comfortable tournament for the fans,” said Cazorla in a conversation with BeIN Sports.

“I’ll be at the next World Cup without a doubt, so for me I really want to finish my football career here in Qatar. My goal now is to win more titles with my team, such as wining the AFC Champions League; Al Sadd have been trying to win it since they last won it back in 2011.”

Turning to the matter of who is the best player in the world Cazorla said, “No doubt about it, Messi is the star of Barcelona and his performances over recent years is the best proof of that, and for me Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world, and Jurgen Klopp is the best coach in the world.”

As to the best goal of his career, Cazorla said: “The best goal for me was with Arsenal against Hull City, when I scored a direct free-kick [in the FA Cup final, Arsenal went on to win 3-2]; I really enjoyed playing for Arsenal.”
