David Beckham calls Tom Brady the ‘All American GOAT’

On 7 February, Tom Brady became the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl and the only player in the history of the NFL to obtain seven rings and five MVPs after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9. The 43-year-old will continue to play in the NFL for at least two more seasons and when asked about retirement he said:

"I think I'll know when it's time. I can never go into this game half-ass. It's a physical sport and the perspective you have on that is, you never know. You never know when that moment is, just because it's a contact sport and there's a lot of training that goes into it. And again, it has to be a 100 percent commitment from myself to keep doing it.”

The soccer world praised Tom Brady

After Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a victory in Super Bowl LV, the entire football world reacted, praising arguably the greatest quarterback to have ever played in the NFL. Brady’s numbers speak for themselves and if he plays until he is 45-years-old, he is likely to keep increasing his legacy in the NFL.

“Kids this is what happens with hard work, dedication and true leadership, wow Tom Brady you are the all American GOAT, oh and let’s not forget MVP,” said Beckham on his Instagram account.

Another player to react and send a message to Brady and his followers on social media was Javier Hernández. The Los Angeles Galaxy forward sent a warm and very special message to Brady after becoming the second quarterback in the history of the NFL to win a Super Bowl with two different teams.

One day the entire world will understand and realize what he has done as an athlete in his sport,” wrote Chicharito.
