Barcelona vs Alavés: how and where to watch - times, TV, online
All the information you need on how and where to watch Barcelona host Deportivo Alavés at Camp Nou (Barcelona) on 13 February at 21:00 CET.
Barcelona will attempt to bounce back from Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg defeat to Sevilla when they take on Alavés at Camp Nou on Saturday.
Ronald Koeman will need to switch off their Copa del Rey and Champions League mindset and focus again on LaLiga, a competition where the Catalan powerhouses are sitting third in the standings, three points behind Real Madrid, who have a game in hand, and eight points adrift of Atlético Madrid who have played one game fewer than the Blaugranes. If you are in the US you can tune in on Fanatiz.
Barcelona seeking seventh consecutive win in LaLiga
The Dutch coach hopes his squad can extend their winning streak in the league, where they have won their last six games.
As the Wembley hero said in the pre-match press conference, Barcelona will have to deal with quite a few games in an intense month (Alavés, Cádiz, Elche and Sevilla), and among them probably the most important one against Paris Sant-Germain next week.
Alavés looking to improve head-to-head record
Barça have won seven of their last eight league games against Alavés with the visitors going into Saturday's match on the back of a 1-0 win over Real Valladolid last weekend.
That was an important win for the Basque outfit: their first in La Liga since the end of December. However, El Glorioso are still very much in the relegation mix, in 16th position, with 22 points from 22 matches.
Koeman could make changes with an eye on PSG
Barcelona won’t be able to call upon Ansu Fati, Gerard Pique, Philippe Coutinho, Sergi Roberto, Ronald Araujo and Martin Braithwaite, while Miralem Pjanic and Sergiño Dest are both doubtful.
Samuel Umtiti’s poor performance against Sevilla will probably see him out of the starting XI, with Clément Lenglet taking his spot.
With PSG on the horizon, Koeman will probably hand some minutes to players like Trincão, Junior Firpo and Riqui Puig, although Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembélé should feature from the start.
Laguardia in, Ely out
As for Abelardo Fernández’s men, defender Victor Laguardia will be back in action but Rodrigo Ely is still unavailable. On-loan Manchester United attacker Facundo Pellistri could make his debut against Barcelona.
Alavés are unlikely to make many changes to their lineup from their last match so Joselu and Lucas Pérez will again lead the attacking line.
