The Young Boys striker has officially committed to the United States and he awaits a call-up from USMNT manager Gregg Berhalter ahead of the international break of this month.
Jordan Siebatcheu is a French-American striker who plays for BSC Young Boys in the Swiss Super League. He started his international career playing for the French U21 youth national team, but he has made up his mind he wants to represent the United States.
During an interview with CBS Sports, the 24-year-old striker committed to the United States men’s national team and he awaits a call-up from manager Gregg Berhalter. Siebatcheu has scored 12 goals and supplied two assists in 31 appearances across all competitions this season.
Waiting for a call-up
“I made my choice a few weeks ago. I will be very happy to play for the USMNT. I am very focused right now with the Young Boys and hope to play with the national team, if that possibility is presented,” said Siebatcheu.
The striker was born in Washington D.C., but was raised in France and the United States men’s national team is scheduled to play against Jamaica in Austria on 25 March. Three days later they will face Northern Ireland and Berhalter will announce the roster next week for the March international break.
