What new series and movies are coming to Netflix in May 2021
Here's all of Netflix's new additions this month, including sci-fi series Love, Death & Robots and Zac Snyder's latest film, Army of the Dead.

Streaming giants Netflix have announced the latest batch of incomings with a whole host of brand new TV shows and movies coming to the platform in May. The new additions will largely be available from 1 May 2021, but some releases will be staggered across the month.
Some of the most hotly-anticipated inclusions are Netflix originals, an area that the streaming platform has invested huge amounts into in recent years. Netflix won seven Oscars at the Academy Awards last week, making it the most successful distributor in this year’s addition.

Get ready for a summer full of screams, stunts, romance, comedy, and zombies (a LOT of zombies) with brand new Netflix films every week, perfect for those May through August movie moods.

Netflix originals coming to the platform in May
On 14 May the new season of Love, Death & Robots will land on the platform after a two-year break since the first series dropped. The Emmy Award winning animated sci-fi anthology is unlike anything else on the market and season two will bring with it the same mix of humour and despondency as fans are used to.
One new name to be added to the Netflix roster is Zac Snyder, the director best known for 300 and Watchmen, and numerous instalments from the DC extended universe. Snyder’s first feature length film for the platform is a bit of a throwback to the zombie movies from his early career.

Army of the Dead follows a group of mercenaries looking to stage an audacious casino bank heist after a zombie apocalypse has gutted Las Vegas. The film features a big ensemble cast, including Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell and Omari Hardwick. The action-comedy will be available to stream from 21 May.
