Update:
Harry Kane informs Tottenham he will leave this summer

Bombshell in the Premier League. Harry Kane is set to leave Tottenham. There have been rumours about striker's future doing the rounds for the past few weeks, but Sky Sports are now reporting that a decision has been made and the club informed. They claim that Kane met with Daniel Levy to tell the chairman that he has made a definitive decision to leave the club. The news will prompt a rush of clubs clambering for his signature this summer.

However, Daniel Levy is well known as being a tough negotiator - as he showed in his dealings with Real Madrid for Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. At the moment, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are the leading candidates to land Kane.

Negotiations will be anything but straightforward. Sky explain that the clubs have been in touch with the agency which represents the player to let them know of their interest. That means that the ball is in Spurs' court - they must decide whether they want to sell a player who has been one of the club's stars for the past few years. It is believed that they have already started the search for a substitute.

Where to remains a mystery, but whichever club buys him will have to spend big. His transfer could spark a chain of other moves. For example, interested English clubs could pull out of the chase for Haaland and Kylian Mbappé...
