Hello everyone and welcome to Milwaukee for Game 2 of the from the Fiserv Forum as the Bucks host the Heat after a thriller in the opener. AS English will keep you up to date with all the scores, highlights, stats and coverage of tonight’s battle.
Sunday's game went down to the wire
Saturday’s game, which was the first to tip off this year’s NBA Playoffs, was an instant classic. Overtime was needed in the Milwaukee’s fourth matchup against Miami this season. Khris Middleton was the hero two days ago as he knocked down a deep two with a half second left on the clock to hand the Bucks the late winner.
Middleton shines in playoff debut
Middleton was the top scorer in his first career playoff game dropping 27 points. The Bucks struggled from downtown on Saturday, shooting just 5 for 31 from behind the arc. Milwaukee made up for their shortcomings from three point land by pounding the ball on the inside, and outscoring the Heat 56-24 in the paint.
Giannis Antetokounmpo added to Middleton’s night with 26 points and 18 rebounds. Jrue Holiday registered a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Butler struggled from the field
Miami shot 50 three pointers in the series opener, hitting 40% from beyond the arc. Goran Dragic led the Heat with 25 points off the bench. Duncan Robinson followed up with 24 points, including seven triples.
Jimmy Butler had a night to forget for the Bulls, going just 4 of 22 from the field finishing the night with 17 points.
Miami’s top scorer this season, Butler, will be looking to make amends for an off night while the defense will be keen on double teaming Giannis.
Antetokounmpo will be the focal point as he has been all year for the Bucks offense, but which supporting cast member will step up like Middleton did last game?
