Sergio Ramos omitted as Luis Enrique names Euro 2020 squad
The Spain national team coach presented the list of the players who will endeavour to secure a fourth European Championship for 'La Roja'.

Spanish head coach Luis Enrique has confirmed the names of the 24 players that will participate at the forthcoming European Championship.
There was much speculation ahead of the announcement over Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos being included or not. In the end the Asturian opted to omit the player who has 180 international caps with La Roja and who has suffered recently with a hamstring problem and who has missed the bulk of 2021 through injury.

Luis Enrique "I'd like to send message to Sergio Ramos, our captain, who is not on the list as he has not been able to compete since January in the right condition, or even train with group. I told him by phone last night, it was difficult and tough, but its best for team."
