Finland vs Russia | 9 am ET

Preview

Finland will try to take advantage of their win over Denmark when they travel to Saint Petersburg to take on Russia on matchday two of Euro 2020 Group B.

The Northern squad beat their Scandinavian neighbours 1-0 in a match where all eyes were on Christian Eriksen, who suffered a cardiac arrest in the first half. Minutes later it was announced that the Inter Milan star was awake and stable in hospital, so the second half of the game was finally played.

With their victory, Markku Kanerva's men ended a six-game winless run across all competitions, while Russia's first game of the tournament ended in a 3-0 loss to Belgium.

Stanislav Cherchesov's side were the clear underdogs and after dtheir loss they are occupy last place in the group. However, the winners of the inaugural tournament back in 1960 still can turn things around.

Moreover, history favors Russia, as they have claimed four victories from four encounters with Finland as an independent nation.

AS English prediction: Finland 1-2 Russia

Venue: Gazprom Arena, Saint Petersburg, Russia

Turkey vs Wales | 12 noon ET

Preview

Turkey and Wales will go head-to-head at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan in on matchday two in Group A, with Senol Günes’ men needing a victory to forget their 3-0 defeat to Italy, while The Dragons earned a 1-1 draw against Switzerland.

With a win against Turkey, Gareth Bale & co would seal a place in the last 16, although everything could change dramatically if they lose to Turkey, who will probably feel more like hosts in Azerbaijan.

The Crescent-Stars were considered as the dark-horses of the European championship, but against Italy they had no chances of winning, as Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne were simply too much for Turkey’s defence line.

The defeat to the Azurri ended Turkey’s run of six games without losing, although they haven’t lost back-to-back matches since Mircea Lucescu was in charge of the team in November 2018. In this case, history is on Turkey’s side, as the last time they lost to Wales was back in 1981.

AS English prediction: Turkey 1-1 Wales

Venue: Baku Olympic Stadium, Baku, Azerbaijan

Kick-off time: 12 noon ET, 9am PT, 6pm CEST

Italy vs Switzerland | 3pm ET

Preview

After an impressive display against Turkey in the opening match of the tournament, Italy will face Switzerland on Wednesday at Stadio Olimpico.

The Italian side, who were the favorites to advance to the next round in first position in Group A before the start of the competition, only need one point to go through, while their neighbors will try to get their first victory.

The four-times world champions, who haven’t yet conceded a goal so far this year, won their ninth match in a row by beating Turkey. Now Roberto Mancini’s men will try to reach 10 consecutive victories for only the second time in their history.

Mancini has emerged victorious in more than two-thirds of his matches to date, as his squad have gone undefeated for 28 games.

A win for Switzerland will would almost certainly seal their ticket to the knockout stages, but in case they managed to grab a point, they should keep their destiny in their own hands.

Switzerland have just lost once in their last 15 matches in the European competiton -including qualifying- but they have been eliminated at the group stage three times before.

AS English prediction: Italy 2-1 Switzerland

Venue: Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Italy

Kick-off time: 3pm ET, 12 noon PT, 9pm CEST
