The Milwaukee Bucks returned home and rallied to cut the Phoenix Suns series lead to 2-1 with a blow out win in Game 3. Giannis Antetokounmpo was a man on a mission as he led a desperate Bucks side to a 120-100 victory at the Fiserv Forum.

Unstoppable Giannis got help in Game 3

There was a lot of chatter pregame about the other Bucks stars stepping up and helping the Greek after Thursday’s loss in Phoenix. While Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday were instrumental in the win tonight, Giannis looked unstoppable despite hyperextending his knee less than two weeks ago.

Deandre Ayton kept the Suns level with the Bucks through the first quarter scoring 12 points in the first 12 minutes. Holiday started hot and Giannis got his busy night going early on.

Huge second quarter brings Bucks back to life

After an even first quarter, Phoenix went on an 8-0 run to jump out to a six point lead, but Milwaukee punched back after a Mike Budenholzer timeout. The home side responded by going on a 30-9 run led by Giannis and Middleton to end the half with a 15 point advantage heading into the third quarter.

Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges brought the Suns back into the game with some fantastic shooting coming out of the break. The Bucks double digit advantage was cut to six midway through the quarter, bur rhe comeback hopes were squashed when Giannis and Holiday spurred Milwaukee to a 16-0 run.

Milwaukee extended the lead to 25 in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter and cruised to victory in blowout fashion.

Giannis with back-to-back 40 point games

For the second straight game Giannis scored 40 or more points and more than 10 rebounds, making him the only the third player in NBA history to post those numbers in back to back Finals games. In the return to his home court, the Greek went to the line 17 times hitting 13 of his attempts from the stripe and finishing his night with 41 and 13.

Jrue Holiday stepped up in the Bucks most important game of the season scoring 21 points and dishing out nine rebounds. Middleton provided some solid production scoring 18 and grabbing seven boards.

Booker's shooting struggles return

Chris Paul led the Suns in scoring with 19 points shooting over 50% from the field, but Devin Booker was locked down all game long. Last game’s MVP scored just 10 points on just 3 of 14 shooting.

The Game 3 win was the Bucks first NBA Finals victory in nearly 50 years, and they’ll look to even the series Wednesday night. The Bucks have already shown they can overcome a 2-0 series deficit when they won four of five against the Nets in the Eastern Conference Semis.
