The Mexico national team released a medical update saying Lozano is ‘stable and conscious,’ but ‘he will be medically examined’ in the next few days. Hirving Lozano will undergo a magnetic resonance imaging and Napoli’s head doctor, Raffaele Canonico, is in constant contact with Mexico’s doctor, José Luis Serrano. It has been confirmed that he will be out for and month and miss the ramainder of the Gold Cup.
Mexico could be forced to play behind closed doors during Gold Cup group stage
The opening match of the 2021 Gold Cup campaign was played on 10 July at the AT&T stadium between Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago and it ended in a scoreless draw.
