PSG troubles as Mbappé reacts badly to Neymar neglect

In the second half against Montpellier, the French star was annoyed after seeing Draxler score in the 2-0 win, and it all seemed due to the Brazilian.

PSG troubles as Mbappé reacts badly to Neymar neglect

Paris Saint-Germain had a fairly comfortably afternoon on Saturday beating Montpellier 2-0, in what was the Parisians’ eighth consecutive win in Ligue 1. However, not all was positive at the club.

Mbappé unhappy with Neymar assist

A notable image from the match was the reaction of Kylian Mbappé on the sidelines as Julien Draxler knocked in the second goal, with the France international complaining that the assist-maker Neymar doesn’t give him the same type of passes when he is on the pitch.

"When it's me he doesn't pass me the ball," the young French star can be seen saying via the footage broadcast by Canal Plus as their cameras focused in on him near the end of the game. Looking clearly disgruntled, he appeared to moan to fellow teammate Idrissa Gueye that Neymar had done something for Draxler, after him coming on just seconds earlier, that he had not done in the rest of the match when he was on.

The image, which has gone viral on social media, adds to the apparent frustration of Mbappé, who failed to score and missed three glaring chances. Upon his substitution by Pochettino, that annoyance was clear as he left the field and this latest episode is the first time this kind of tension has occurred between the two high-profile players, who are said to be close friends in the PSG dressing room.

It’s more than likely that there will be no lasting damage done by this, but there is no doubt that the cameras will be monitoring every tiny reaction in the coming weeks, as January’s transfer window - one that could see Mbappé join Real Madrid (or at least sign a pre-contract) draws closer.

Next up for PSG is the tantalising Champions League clash with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who had their own impressive win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
