Woodley gets ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattoo, wants rematch
The Jake Paul-Tyron Woodley spectacle continues, as Woodley finally gets the tattoo he had wagered as a side-bet prior to their Aug. 29 fight.
In an Instagram post, the former UFC star showed off the tattoo on his left middle finger. “I love you son. Now come and get this a— whippin cause I heard you been talking back to your elders. WHERE YOU AT!?” he wrote, with the hashtag #ManOfMyWord.
The tattoo comes almost a month after their bout, which Paul won by split decision. Prior to their match, they had made a wager that entailed the loser tattooing the winner’s name on a part of the body where it would be easily seen by others, and then posting it on Instagram.
Woodley demands rematch after fight
Right after his loss, Woodley demanded another go at the social-media-star-turned-boxer, saying “Me and Jake need to run it back. I want a rematch. I feel like I won.”
Paul then responded that if Woodley got the tattoo that said “I love Jake Paul”, then he would grant him the second match. He also said that Woodley should get the tattoo fast or he would book another opponent.

Paul: Woodley missed out on another big fight purse
A couple of weeks after that, Paul told ESPN that Woodley had missed his chance.
“If he would have gotten the tattoo right away, got 10 million views on his Instagram video, everyone would have been super hyped, there would have been a ton of press about it.”
“I would have been sort of forced to do it. I couldn’t really deny him then, because if he’s going to be a man of his word, then I have to be a man of my word,” he added.
It took Woodley four weeks, but he eventually did get the tattoo. Paul took to Instagram to poke fun at his opponent, implying that what motivated Woodley to get inked were the taxes he had to pay on the fight purse.
He reposted the MMA fighter’s Instagram story, writing what he thought of his tattoo.
It is yet to be seen if the rematch will indeed take place. Whatever Woodley’s motivations were, and belated though his actions may be, he has complied with his end of the deal. Now it’s up to Jake Paul to honor his.
