USA vs Costa Rica: times, TV and how to watch online

All the information you need on how and where to watch the CONCACAF World Cup 2022 qualifying match between the USMNT and Costa Rica on Wednesday 13 October.

Update:
USA-Costa Rica

Gregg Berhalter will be hoping his US side can bounce back from Sunday's disappointment in Panama City where 'Los Canaleros' won 1-0 but were better in every department against a USNMT that barely troubled the Panama goalkeeper throughout the 90 minutes as Mexico regained top spot in the octagonal group.

The US side now lie now second with eight points, ahead of Panama on goal difference, while Costa Rica jumped to fifth place on six points after the 2-1 win against against El Salvador last weekend.

Berhalter under fire

US coach, Gregg Berhalter, came under intense criticism for his approach to the game in Panama. Despite not being able to count on the likes of Christian Pulisic (Chelsea) and Gio Reyna (Borussia Dortmund) due to injury, the 48-year-old coach made seven changes from the side that overcame Jamaica (2-0) earlier in the week.

The good news for US interests is that for the Costa Rica match, Berhalter is expected to welcome back the likes of full-back Sergiño Dest (FC Barcelona), midfielder Weston McKennie (Juventus) and Mexican-American forward Ricardo Pepi (FC Dallas), with the 18-year-old bagging three goals in his previous two games.

Positive dynamic

Costa Rica come into the Columbus clash in confident mood after the weekend win in San José over El Salvador.

The win has boosted coach Luis Fernando Suárez's men's hopes in securing a place at would be third consecutive World Cup.

For tonight's game, Costa Rica will be without forwards Joel Campbell, (sprained ankle), and José Guillermo Ortiz, who tested positive for covid-19.

Suárez has called up veteran duo to replace them with Christian Bolaños (37) and Álvaro Saborío (39) getting call-ups for 'Los Ticos'.
