The Bucks started the first quarter of the new season with a bang. They gave up the opening basket of the game, but that would be the only time they trailed throughout the night. Milwaukee climbed out to an 19 point lead in a first quarter in which they scored 37 points.
Milwaukee's offfense could look even better
Last years top ranked offense did not disappoint, lighting it up out of the gate. The Bucks, who made very few changers over the offseason picked up where the left off, flirting with 130 points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was his normal brilliant self as the NBA Finals MVP went for 32, and he got help from Khris Middleton added 20 points as a. Pat Connaughton also dropped 20 points from the outside and from the inside.
No Kyrie for the Nets for the near future
The Nets knew they would be without Kyrie Irvin who is refusing to take the COVID vaccination, and therefore will not be playing with Brooklyn until he gets the jab, or until the mandate fo all New Yorkers to be vaccinated to go to a gym, stadium or live event is lifted. .

Kevin Durant and James Harden had solid nights, but it just looked like they were missing something on the offensive end.
The Bucks had a 21-4 run in the first quarter, and didn’t look back from there. They led 31-12 in the opening quarter and kept the Nets at an arms distance the whole night.
There was more to celebrate than just the ring ceremony in Milwaukee tonight. The Bucks showed there isn’t likely to be a post championship hangover with their big win over what could be an Eastern Conference Finals opponent.

Khris Middleton is giving the big speech at half court, and I have to say, I'm shocked. He has always seemed the most mild mannered, almost stoic player on the team.

It's a rematch of the Eastern Confernce Semifinals. Last season's Bucks-Nets series went seven games, Kevin Durant and the Nets were seconds away from the Finals, but Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks held on for the win in Game 7.
Hello and welcome to the Fiserv Forum! It's ball night once again!! After four long months, the NBA regular season is finally back.
The Milwaukee Bucks will being their quest for back-to-back titles against familiar foe the Brooklyn Nets to open the regular season. What better way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first NBA season, than a rematch of last years seven game Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The party will start with the presentation of the Bucks championship rings in Wisconsin. The title celebration will officially come to an end four months after the Bucks won Game 6 over the Suns. Brooklyn will be hoping to start the season off as the party crasher, while hoping to finish the season dethroning Milwaukee come mid June.
The NBA finally seems like it has recovered it’s regularly programmed scheduling after a couple seasons that were turned on its belly because of COVID.
The Milwaukee Bucks have essentially returned everyone from last year’s championship winning squad. The only departure is PJ Tucker, who shipped off to Miami during the offseason. Mike Budenholzer’s life should a bit easier after the Milwaukee title itch was scratched last year, but the real challenge will be instilling that same championship motivation in a franchise that hadn’t won a title in 50 years.
The Nets have been blanketing headlines lately, and they are under the media microscope guy who will not even be playing for them this year, or at least won’t be playing for them at the moment.
Kyrie Irving refusing to get the COVID vaccination has put Steve Nash’s men right at the forefront of the newspapers and talk shows all over the country. On almost any other team in the league, this would not present as much as a problem. It isn’t required to be vaccinated in the NBA, but the state of New York has mandated all people going to a gym, stadium, or closed live event must be vaccinated. This means Kyrie will not only be excluded from the Nets’ home games but will also be kept from practicing with the team until he either gets vaccinated or the mandate is lifted.
The Nets have decided to carry on with out their unvaccinated star, and the Big Three becomes the Big Two for the time being.
