Ricardo Pepi came on as a substitute in FC Dallas' 2-2 draw against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night at the Dignity Health Sports Park. The team is out of the playoff picture and they have only three games left of the 2021 Major League Soccer regular season.

Champions League team’s keen on signing Pepi

The 18-year-old striker may call time on his career in MLS and make the move to Europe during the January transfer window. Ricardo Pepi has formally requested to leave FC Dallas and he confirmed that several clubs in Europe are interested in him.

According to the latest transfer news from the Daily Mirror, Liverpool, Manchester United, Brentford and Brighton want to sign the teenager during the next transfer window. Pepi has stated that he is ready to make the jump to Europe because he wants to be the starting striker for the USMNT if they book their ticket to the 2022 World Cup.

A few weeks ago it was reported that Wolfsburg had already been in advanced talks with Pepi’s agent to bring him to the Bundesliga next year. But there has been no formal offer presented to FC Dallas to sign the teenager to date.

Other teams that have shown interest in signing the player are reportedly Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Ajax. With so many clubs asking about Ricardo Pepi it is believed that is market value would be over $15 million with FC Dallas having already turned down an $8 million offer from Sampdoria.
