FC Barcelona and Argentine giants Boca Juniors will play in the first ever 'Maradona Cup' in Saudi Arabia in December with the game set to act as a tribute to the Argentine legend who passed away in November 2020.

Despite Maradona starting his footballing career with Argentinos Juniors, he is synonymous with the side from La Boca wearing the famous blue and yellow shirt from 1981-1982 and then again from 1995-97.

Maradona Cup date and venue

The first Maradona Cup will take place on 14 December at the 25,000 capacity Mrsool Park stadium in Riyadh which s home to Saudi domestic side Al Nassr.
