Rodolfo Pizarro and Inter Miami to part ways at end of season
The Mexican international didn’t perform as expected in his second campaign in Major League Soccer and he could return to the Liga MX next season.
In 2020, Rodolfo Pizarro became the first designated player in the history of Inter Miami CF and he was expected to lead the team in their debut season. Unfortunately he disappointed at the end of the 2020 Major League Soccer campaign and he only scored three goals and gave four assists in 16 appearances.
Inter Miami is already looking for his replacement
The bosses decided to give him another shot and the head coach appointed for the 2021 MLS campaign, Phil Neville, spoke highly of Pizarro during preseason. Everyone at Inter Miami was ready to see the best version of the Mexican international in his second year in the team, but it has been another disappointing campaign.
Rodolfo Pizarro has only scored three goals and provided four assists in 24 appearances so far this season. The team owned by David Beckham has only three games left of the regular season and they are unlikely to qualify for the playoffs.
According to information from AS USA, Pizarro is no longer happy in Major League Soccer and Inter Miami already has an offer on the table from a Liga MX club. It has been rumored that Chivas from Guadalajara or Monterrey are the two teams that want the Mexican international for the next season.
