Carli Lloyd to make her last appearance with the USWNT

Carli Lloyd will make her 316th and final appearance with the United State women’s national soccer team on Tuesday night in St. Paul, Minnesota against South Korea. After 17 years she is happy that she "gave it all I had” after winning two World Cups and three Olympic medals.

It will be an emotional goodbye for Lloyd

"Sure there were times where maybe my focus was too intense, but I gave it all I had. And I think that's what's really special, walking away from this is knowing that I did give it all I have,'' she said.

"This next phase of mine, I think, is going to be no different. I'm going to find something that I'm passionate about and do it to the best of my ability. I want to eventually start a family with my husband and want to be the best mom and strive to be the best wife that I possibly can," she added.

She left her mark with the USWNT and she scored the opening goal in the 2015 Women’s World Cup, helping the US to lift the trophy in that campaign. Lloyd scored a total of 134 goals with the national team, the third most in the history of the women’s team. She also became the first American to find the back of the net in four Olympic tournaments and her 10 goals set a new record in the history of the USWNT.
