The Milwaukee Bucks bring the NBA title to the White House
The defending champion Milwaukee Bucks will visit the White House on Nov. 8 to celebrate their NBA championship, the first one in 50 years.

The Bucks won the title by defeating the Phoenix Suns in six games in the NBA finals, with a Game 6 victory in Milwaukee on July 20.
This is the Buck’s first title in 50 years. Coach Mike Budenholzer said Saturday, “We’re very excited, very appreciative of the invite. We know it’s an honor and special, and we’re looking forward to visiting the White House.”

Milwaukee will be the first NBA team to visit the White House since the Cleveland Cavaliers visited former President Barack Obama in 2016.
The Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors did not visit the White House under former President Donald Trump, while the Lakers were not able to be feted last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bucks will be in Washington on Nov. 7 to play the Wizards, and will celebrate the day after at the White House. They travel to Philadelphia on Nov. 9 to play the 76ers.
