Stephen Curry has recently shown the NBA world what type of legacy he is looking to leave behind him. The two-time NBA MVP has not only become the Warriors' all-time scoring leader, but he also surpassed the legendary Kobe Bryant’s record for scoring at least 30 points in each half of a game as he entered the 60-point club in January, 2021.

On Wed, Oct 20, 2021, we saw Curry and the Golden State Warriors pulling off a 121-114 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in the second game of the 2021-22 Opening Night doubleheader. In what was a poor shooting night for Curry, he only went for 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the Warriors.

Less than 48 hours later, Curry pulls off a performance that’s short of his brilliance in a 115-113 win over the LA Clippers, Thursday night. Focused and fast, Curry poured in 45 points in a showcase that included two game-defining 3-pointers in the final two minutes to secure the win.

Even with his comeback performance that left the crowd in awe Thursday night, this wasn’t one of Curry’s high-scoring games. Let’s take a look at Curry’s top five highest scoring games in his NBA career:

Jan. 3, 2021: 62 points vs. Trail Blazers

On Jan, 3 2021, Curry netted his career with 62-points at home against the Portland Trail Blazers 137-122 win. Facing one of the best point guards in the NBA, Damian Lillard, Curry made a statement with his performance shooting 18 of 31 from the field, 8 of 16 from 3-point range and 18 of 19 from the free-throw line. This game was a career-high for Curry entering the 60-point club among some of the greatest players.

Feb. 27, 2013: 54 points at New York Knicks

In 2013, Curry put on a show at Madison Square Garden in one of his best performances in the regular season. He made 11 of his 13 attempts from the three-point line in that game, and scored 54 points against the New York Knicks.

Oct. 31, 2015: 53 points at New Orleans Pelicans

Four days before this game, Curry rallied up 40 points against the Pelicans, in the 2015-16 season, which was a good starting point for him in New Orleans.  A few days later, he went up to 53 points against the Pelicans, paving the way for his greatest NBA year, and leading himself to a well-deserved unanimous MVP award.

Oct. 24, 2018: 51 points vs. Washington Wizards

This was not the only game where Curry achieved 51 points; he’s achieved 51 on four separate occasions and 50 points in seven different games

Jan. 27, 2018: 49 points at Boston Celtics

This game was the only one in Curry’s career where he scored exactly 49 points against the Boston Celtics.

Stephen Curry’s 62 points have set the tone for his new legacy; he is now the fifth player in the NBA history to score 60 or more points, last achieved by Klay Thompson. Rick Barry, Joe Fulks, Thompson and Curry have one 60-point game respectively for the Warriors. The legendary Wilt Chamberlain had a total of 17,783 career points, and now Curry has surpassed him with 18,500 points so far, making him the Warriors’ all-time leading scorer.
