Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers and Prevea Health end nine-year partnership
After Aaron Rodgers explained his vaccination stance, Prevea Health announced its separation from the 37-year-old.
Aaron Rodgers and health care provider Prevea Health ended their nine-year partnership following the Green Bay Packersprevea health star's comments about coronavirus vaccinations.
Rodgers will miss Sunday's clash with the Kansas City Chiefs after testing positive for covid-19 and the reigning NFL MVP sought to explain why he said he was "immunised" on Friday despite not being vaccinated.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said an allergy to mRNA vaccines prevented him from getting two of the three approved covid jabs, while the quarterback was reluctant to receive the Johnson & Johnson variation.
Rodgers – a Super Bowl champion and MVP – also detailed concerns regarding the coronavirus vaccine.
Prevea Health sever ties with Rodgers
"Prevea Health and Aaron Rodgers have made the decision to end their partnership effective November 6, 2021," Prevea Health said in a statement Saturday.
"Aaron has been a partner of Prevea Health, serving as a spokesperson and supporting the health care organisation's health and wellness initiatives throughout Wisconsin, since 2012.
"Prevea Health remains deeply committed to protecting its patients, staff, providers and communities amidst the covid-19 pandemic.
"This includes encouraging and helping all eligible populations to become vaccinated against covid-19 to prevent the virus from further significantly impacting lives and livelihoods."
