Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been removed from the injured reserve list following surgery on his hand, and will start against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says the eight-time Pro Bowl player is raring to go back on field, after missing games for the first time his NFL career. “He’s hungry to play football now,” said the coach.

Wilson 'ready to go'

“He had a terrific week, he really did,” according to Carroll. “And you could see him just feel a little bit better as the week went on, but he really didn’t hold anything back. He finished great the last couple of days, and he’s ready to go.”

Wilson said he is in a great state to play. “My mindset’s better than ever, I’m ready to roll and ready to go.”
