Pulisic looked the part
The Americans will feel encouraged by the fact that their star seemed fully recovered tonight!
It's been gritty!
If you're just joining us, it could be argued that you missed a small war. While the game was not full of highlight moments, it was in fact a display of grit and discipline as both teams played a very physical match in the humidity of the Kingston night.
The USA will of course all but assure themselves qualification with this result while Jamaica have improved their chances with the point, but they will know there is work to be done. In the end the the match ended 1-1 courtesy of a tidy Timothy Weah goal in the 11th minute followed by a fantastic strike from Jamaica's Michail Antonio who saw his rocket from distance fly past Steffen in the American goal.

What appeared to be a dangerous opportunity for Jamaica has been called back for offside after Antonio just found himself on the wrong side of the line.

A good shout for a foul infront of the American area but the referee is not having it and the Americans build from the back.

Inventive play down the right side as the Americans carve out an opportunity. In the end the cut back is cleared to safety for a corner.

A decent effort from Jamaica after very good buildup play but in the end the shot from distance is smothered by Steffen in the American goal.
We are now left with less than 20 minutes plus stoppage time in what has been a rather intense affair between these two CONCACAF teams. Jamaica for their part have made life very difficult for the Americans.
Jamaica almost carve out a decent opportunity as Morrison is off to the races one on one but in the end the American keeper makes it to the ball first and is able to clear.

The Americans attempt to regain a sense of rhythm as they try to work the ball around the field. Jamaica, however, has become more compact making it harder for the USA to break them down.
The game has taken on a tempo now as Jamaica find their feet. They do, however, seem to be a bit disorganized although intense in their approach!

And just like that the Americans have scored. A well worked move down the right and it's Timothy Weah who slots the ball past the Jamaican keeper from a tight angle. While he was helped by the far post the shot was definitely well placed. The USA leads 1-0!
For the moment there has been no real threat in either direction but the Americans appear to be the more settled of the two teams, as they play around their defense.
