Patriots 25 vs. 0 Falcons summary: scores, stats and hightlights | NFL

Update:
The New England Patriots shut out the Atlanta Falcons in Georgia for their fifth straight win. The defense was perfect and Nick Folk hit 4 FGs.

Is it just me or does Belichick have some style when he's not wearing a sleeveless hoodie?

I said it before the game, this dude is a player, and he's got the swag and the confidence of a 10 year vet.

Matthew Judon was feeling himself and his new career high in sacks.

Adrian Phillips secured the shutout with his pick late in the game.

Kyle Van Noy capped the game with a fitting pick six to put the game well beyond reach.

J.C. Jackson with another pick on Ryan after the deflection.

Ryan was picked twice, both coming in the fourth quarter when trying to make a play, but the constant pressure didn't allow him to ever get comfortable.

If you don't like defensive highlights, turn the page beause that's all there were in this game.

If you watched the game there had to come a point where you felt bad for Matt Ryan. He was constantly pressured and sacked four times.

Agholor with the game's one and only touchdown... on the offensive end.

Still doubting Belichick?

Remember when Tom Brady won the Super Bowl last year, and somehow people used that as a way to take credit for the Patriots success from Bill Belichick? People actually started to doubt him.. and what does he do? He leads a rookie QB and a top ranked defese with hardly any start power to one of the longest win streaks in the NFL this sesaon.

AFC East tightening up

It's going to be a fight to the death in the AFC East for the division title if the Patriots are going to continue to play like they did tonight.

The Bills are for real

Watch out AFC!!! The Patriots are for real. They're defense looked like one of the best units in the league while Mac Jones controlled the game perfectly.

INTERCEPTION PATRIOTS!!!

Franks in the game for the Falcons at QB after the Rosen pick and he throws an interception on his first throw of the night.

And that will do it.. The Patriots blank the Falcons and have won their fifth straight.

The defense gets what they deserve. They post a shut out and end the game with a pick six.

PICK SIX PATRIOTS!!!

Rosen threw it right into the arms of Van Noy who took it 35 yards to the house for a pick six!

Matt Jones has seen his night end, as the Falcons tell Josh Rosen he will finish out the game.

FIELD GOAL PATRIOTS!!!

Folk's fourth field goal is good from 33 yards is good.

This game has officially been put to bed with the Pats up three scores.

FIELD GOAL PATRIOTS!!!

Folk's fourth field goal is good from 33 yards is good.

This game has officially been put to bed with the Pats up three scores.

Jones stopped on the QB sneak and that will bring up 4th and 1 going in to the Two Minute Warning.

The Falcons call their third timeout, down 16 with just 3:23 to go. 2nd and 8 from the Patriots.

Jones finds Agholor for a first down, and that will keep the clock moving.

Now it's time for the Pats to pound the football and run some time off the clock.

3rd and 5 Pats, timeout ATL with just under 5 minutes to go.

The Patriots defense has allowed 0 points in their opponent's last 17 drives, good enough for 2nd longest in the league this year.

INTERCEPTION PATRIOTS!!!

The Falcons comeback chances just took a big hit after Ryan's throw hits off the fingertips of Zaccheaus and picked off by NE's Jackson.

NE will take over at midfield.

The Falcons haven't been shut out at home since 1988. That's 265 home games ago

The Falcons are still within two scores, but they have 6:39 to go in the game and time is running out for a team that can't move the ball

FIELD GOAL PATRIOTS!!!

Folk's FG is money from 53 yards and the Pats get their first points in since the last play of the first half.

Once again the Falcons getting to Mac Jones again and again Atlanta can only get stops when they sack the NE quarterback.

The Pats pick up the first down on a 19 yard pass to Bourne and then a 2 yard qb keeper for the 1st down after the hold

Stevenson's 36 yard run is blown back after a holding call on Andrews. 1st and 20 from the NE 44.

Jones goes deep, looking for Meyers, and a pass interference penalty on Moreau will bring the Pats down to the ATL 46.

INTERCEPTION FALCONS!!!

Ryan with pressure in his face again, and he gets rid of the pass that was more a prayer to Pitts, and it's intercepted by McCoutry!!

That will go down as Ryan's interception, but the offensive line deserve the blame for that one.

Ryan again over the middle and this time to Pitts for a gain of 16 yards. 1st and 10 from the NE 44

Ryan finally gets some time in the pocket and he finds Gage for 19 yards down the middle of the field.

Still nothing doing for the Falcons, who give up a sack on the first play of the drive.

Poor Matt Ryan has been taking a beating. He has been caught on the sideline have more than just friendly words to his offense.

End of 3rd Q

We are at the end of the third quarter, with the Pats in control, but only up a couple scores.

Atlanta will get the ball off the Pats punt to start the quarter.

TURNOVER ON DOWNS!!!

Ollison is stopped short of the first down marker!!! Tragic end to a drive that looked promising for the Falcons following the interceptions.

The Pats will take over at their 16 with 52 seconds to go in the third

Smith is stuffed on 3rd and 1 after hesitating on the hand off and the Falcons will go for it on 4th and short.

Ryan to Smith for 11 yards, and the Falcons are finally over 100 yards of offense with 2:30 to go in the third.

Here come the Falcons... Ryan connects on his first two passes for short gains, but enough for a first down.

INTERCEPTION FALCONS!!!!

Just when everything seemed like it was going the Patriots way Jones overthrows his receiver and it's picked off by Terrell and returned 34 yards to the ATL 48.

The Falcons were desperate for something good to happen, and it just did. Can they take advantage of their best field position of the night with 5:05 to go in the third quarter?

Jones with another dime to move the chains on 3rd down. This time to Henry for a 15 yard gain.

Big third down conversion from Jones, who had pressure coming and released it to Meyers for 6 yards.

Pats going back to the run, and Stevenson gets 13 yards on first down.

Atlanta goes three and out again and things are getting ugly for the Falcons.

NE take over from their 17 after a 62 yard punt

The Falcons have 7 penalties and just 6 first downs.

A holding call on NE's Smith backed the Pats up and Mac Jones' second incompletion brings up 4th down as New England goes three and out.

ATL take over from their 19 yard line with 11:01 to go in the 3rd Quarter.

Ryan and the Falcons couldn't keep the drive alive after the false start penalty, and will be forced to punt yet agan.

Punt returned  17 yards by Olszewski down to the NE 27.

A false start penalty right after that on Lindstrom will immediatley back ATL up and give them a 1st and 15.

A false start penalty right after that on Lindstrom will immediatley back ATL up and give them a 1st and 15.

It may not be how they drew it up, but the Falcons get a big chunk of yardage on a 19 yard pass interference penalty.

Start of 3rd Q

We are back in play from Atlanta, and it's the Falcons starting the third quarter with the ball inside their own 20.

The Falcons allowed Ryan to get sacked three times in that first half.

Agholor with the game's first and only TD.

The Pats got the running game going early

The Falcons have just 64 yards of offense through two quarters. That's the lowest through the first half for Atlanta in the last 8 years.

Mac Jones is 14/15 for 136 yards and a touchdown. A nearly perfect hafl for the Rookie, who only threw a pass of over 10 yards once in the drive.

It has been all Patriots so far. The Falcons need to figure out a way to stop shooting themselves in the foot.

FIELD GOAL PATRIOTS!!!

Folk drills the 44 yard field goal and the Pats will go into the break up 13-0.

It seems like the only way to slow the Pats down is to get a sack on Jones which they just did on 2nd and 4.

Jones' pass to Meyers is good for 10 yards, but short of the 1st down. That brings up 4th and 1 from the 26 with 5 seconds left in the half.

It's all too easy for Jones right now. He hits Meyers for 18 yards. Not to take anything from Jones, but He isn't having to make incredible throws. His WRs are wide open

Bolden picks up 9 yards on a short reception over the middle, and then Jones hits completion 11 out of 12 to Bourne for a first down.

Timeout NE with 1:06 to go in the half.

Two Minute Warning

Ryan dropped in the backfield again, it's Judon again! Ryan is getting no protection from his line.

4th down coming up after the Two Minute Warning.

Good response to the missed field goal for the Falcons defense forcing the Pats into their first three and out of the night.

Williams waves for a fair catch at the 14 and the Falcons have 4:07 to get some points on the board before halftime.

Jones sacked by Oluokun on 1st down for a loss of 14, but Jones hits Bourne for 12 yards on the next play. 3rd and long coming up.

How will that impact the Falcons in the next 6 minutes before halftime?

FALCONS FG NO GOOD!!!

Koo's 45 FG was good, the there was an illegal formation with took the 3 points off the board and backed the Falcons up forcing a 50 yard FG that Koo missed wide left.

Strange decision to try to go for the first down on 3rd and 1 with a pass play after the run game was working so well for the Falcons.

Ryan dropped in the backfield on 3rd and 1 for a loss of 13 and that puts a halt to the ATL drive.

Falcons go for it and Ollison picks up 10 yards to keep the drive alive.

Falcons with a decsion to make after Ryan hits Zaccheaus for 9 yards and 4th and 1 is coming up .

Ryan showing some dexterity in the pocked, pump faking and throwing an off balanced pass to Zaccheaus for a gain of 9 yards and a first down from ATL 46.

Jones and the Pats march it right down the field for the game's first TD.

TOUCHDOWN NEW ENGLAND!!!

Jones hits a wide open Agholor over the middle, and he turned on the jets to go untouched into the enzone on the 19 yard catch and run for the TD.

The Falcons are getting a heavy does of Harris, who just caught a screen pass for 8 yards.

That will take us to the end of the 1st Quarter. The Pats are running all over the Falcons on this drive. Can the cap the possession off with the game's first TD??

Harris with back to back big runs. This time on a sweep to the right is good for 17 yards. 1st and 10 from the ATL 36.

Harris busts a 14 yard run through the middle on 2nd and 1 and the Pats are around midfield again.

Niether team are moving the ball too well through the first quarter of the game, let's see if Mac Jones and the Pats can't change that

Two straight incompletions from Ryan bring up 4th down and the Falcons will punt.

Olszewski with the fair catch on the NE 24.

Two straight incompletions from Ryan bring up 4th down and the Falcons will punt.

Olszewski with the fair catch on the NE 24.

Ryan's last pass to Sharpe was batted away, but Matty Ice looks locked in. He's thrown a couple dimes that tell you the 14 year vet still has it

The Falcons move the chains for the first time tonight as Ryan hits Gage over the middle for a gain of 12 yards.

The Falcons are called for a hold on the return and they will take over from their own 10.

That's 3 flags already for a total of 27 yards for Atlanta

The Falcons are called for a hold on the return and they will take over from their own 10.

That's 3 flags already for a total of 27 yards for Atlanta

The Patriots take the first lead with 5:14 to go in the first quarter.

FIELD GOAL PATRIOTS!!!

Folk drills the 32 yard field goal and the first points of the night are on the board.

Jones overthrows Henry on third down' and it looked like there was a miscommunication between the New England QB and the TE

Jones needs a timeout on 3rd and 8 as the play clock was winding down.

Jones on the QB sneak on 3rd and short, moving the chains and it's 1st and 10 from the ATL 17

Stevenson pops out of the pile and picks up 21 yards.

Two quick big plays has the Pats at the ATL 28

Catch and run of 17 yards for Smith on the quick pass to the left side. Jones starts off 3/3

Ryan's pass to Pitts was batted away on 3rd down and the Falcons go 3 and out to start the game.

NE take over on their 34 yard line with just under 10 minutes left in the first quarter.

An illegal formation erases a 7 yard pick up on 2nd and 9, and the Falcons are now faced with 3rd and long after a short run following th penalty.

The Pats run it with Bolden on 3rd and 4, and the NE running back is stopped short. Pats punt after the 3rd down stop, and the Falcons will start their first drive inside their own five.

11:43 to go in the first quarter.

As much as Brady's shoes need filling after his departure, Gronk's role has yet to be replaced on the Patriots offense.

Jones lofted one up for Henry on third down, but there was a pass interference penalty on ATL's Harris which will move the Pats to their 46.

Jones goes to the air on first down, and finds Meyers for 6 yards. on the opening play of the drive

Start of 1st Q

We are underway from Atlanta!!! The Falcons won the toss and they differ, so Mac Jones will start the game off from the 25.

Fox and NFL Network's coverage of tonight's has begun and we are just moments away from kickoff.

I'm just watching Mac Jones in the pregame warmups on the lead up show on Fox and I don't think I've seen a cooler, more confident rookie.

He looks loose, and unbothered by the Primetime lights.

The New England Patriots are 7 point favorites on the road in Atlanta, with the Over/Under is set at 47.5

The Falcons first round draft pick is already making history.

The Falcons going with the classic black look for Primetime

Cordarrelle Patterson is inactive today, and that's a huge blow for the Falcons

If you know me, you know how much I love these little games of catch between the oppsoing players and the home fans.

What does Mac have in store for Thursday Night?

Falcons success relies on Ryan

It’s no secret that the Falcons offensive success revolves around the veteran quarterback. He has thrown for 300 yards or more in three of the Falcons four wins this season.

Ryan coming off a season low performance

Matt Ryan wasn’t the only one who didn’t show up against the Cowboys, but he threw for just 117 yards with no touchdowns and two picks.

Falcons starting to surge

The thing about the Atlanta Falcons is you never know what team is going to take the field at the start of the game. Will it be the squad that beat the Saints two weeks ago, or will it be the teams that keeled over and played possum against the Cowboys in Week 10?

Defense doing work for Jones and Pats

The Pats defense has been helping out their rookie QB. They have given a total of 13 points in their last two games and have allowed more than 14 points just once in their four game win streak.

Can Pats make it five in a row?

He is completing nearly 70% of his passes, and has 2,333 yards with 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions. If he gets some help from running back Damien Harris, the Pats could be well on their way to their fifth straight win of the season.

Jones is the cream of the QB crop

Mac Jones and the Patriots have been the surprise of the AFC through 10 weeks of the regular season. Jones is without doubt the top rookie performer of the quarterback class of the 2021 NFL Draft.

New England has won four in a row

The Patriots last two losses came at the hands of Tampa Bay Buccaneers, by two points and the Dallas Cowboys in overtime.

Pats are surprise of season

Both teams come into tonight’s game on opposite on ends of Week 10 beat downs. The Falcons took a 43-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on the chin after surprising the Saints the week before. The Patriots on the other hand waxed the Cleveland Browns 45-7 in Foxborough to wrap up their sixth win in seven tries.

Super Bowl 51 rematch

The New England Patriots travel south to take on the Atlanta Falcons in a rematch of the 2017 Super Bowl. AS English will have you covered with up to the minute scores, stats, analysis of tonight’s Week 11 opener from Mercedes Benz Stadium.
