Update:

The LA Lakers and Detroit Pistons met again Sunday after the awkward encounter between Isaiah Stewart and LeBron James. All eyes were on the two during this game, but there was no drama. The two played calmly and did their job.

James and Stewart remain civil on the court

Last week's altercation between James and Stewart (James hit Stewart in the face and Stewart repeatedly lunged at him after the fact) resulted in both players being ejected and a one-game suspension for James and two-game ban for Stewart. James made some feeble attempts to apologize but Stewart insisted he didn't believe the hit had been an accident. Though there was no noticeable tension between the two players on the court on Sunday, Stewart was booed by the Lakers fans.

"It's just basketball," said Pistons player Jerami Grant. "Things happen on the court, but you've got to get your mind right and get ready to play."

For the Pistons, Jerami Grant was their biggest contributor with 32  points and rookie pick Jade Cunningham had 15 points and 11 assists.

With this win, the Lakers improve to .500 (11-11) on the season and the Pistons fall to 4-16. The Pistons will play at Portland on Tuesday night and the Lakers will look for revenge in Sacramento on Tuesday night.
