Who are the nominees for the 2021 Art Rooney Award?
We now know the names of all 32 NFL players that have been put forward by their team to be voted in the eighth edition of the sportsmanship award.
We now know the nominees for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award 2021, a prize that recognises players around the National Football League who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship.
Art Rooney Award: how it works
There are 32 names included in the nominations process, one put forward by each NFL team. From that list, it is whittled down to eight finalists (four from each conference) by a panel of the NFL Legends Community. This year sees that panel made up from: Warrick Dunn, Larry Fitzgerald, Curtis Martin and Leonard Wheeler.
NFL news and insight:
These final eight players will be listed under the NFL Sportsmanship Award category on the Pro Bowl ballot which players will vote on before the end of the year. They are not, as you may expect, allowed to vote for their own teammate.

Starting in 2014 in in honour of Art Rooney Sr, the late founding owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pro Football Hall of Famer, we are now in the eighth year of the award. Below is a list of all of this year’s nominees.
