AS Sports awards
AS Sports awards 2021: Benzema, Suárez, Djokovic...
Real Madrid and Atlético's forwards picked up awards in this 15th edition. Tennis featured with Badosa and Spain's Olympic heroes: Craviotto, Sandra, Portela...
It's been another difficult year dealing with the coronavirus pandemic but in sport, there was plenty to celebrate. The AS Sports Awards gala, which last year was obliged to reduce its format with just a handful of guests, returned to its traditional venue, the Hotel Palace in Madrid on Tuesday night, to unite outstanding sportsmen and women.
Summer sport
The Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo brought together the best athletes on the planet and sent a message of hope; in football, we celebrated Euro 2020, the Champions League and Europa League. While in tennis, we witnessed the explosion of a new generation of stars. The 2021 AS Sports Awards acknowledged those who took part and excelled in sport throughout the last 12 months.
